We promote a culture of treating the entire person where all concerns and health factors are considered and addressed
Home Health Boutique performs a comprehensive evaluation consisting of a review of all body systems, when first meeting a client. This evaluation, in turn, results in the design of a plan of care and setting of goals. Appreciating that objectives vary, clients having knee replacement could have goals ranging from being able to prepare meals in their home, walking 5 miles/day, playing golf, or just being able to sit and read without pain.
The initial evaluation might reveal medical information which the client is unaware. These findings would be considered and addressed in the treatment plan. For example, when treating a client having shoulder replacement, muscle testing might reveal weakness in their legs. The treatment plan may include leg strengthening exercises to mitigate falls. Or, when working with a client who has back pain from spinal stenosis, a new onset of high blood pressure and poor sleep habits are noted. With collaboration from the primary care physician, a nurse might be assigned to monitor blood pressure until it is stabilized. Sleep hygiene training would be recommended, as there is a strong correlation between chronic pain and insomnia.
Provide competent, experienced and compassionate professionals, pairing them with clients’ personalities and needs
All of our medical professionals are academically competent in their respective fields. Each professional however, has a unique personality and various approaches to achieve the client’s goals. Information provided from clients, family, and physicians, along with cultural, gender, language and scheduling preferences are used to determine the professionals that are best suited to work with each client.
Offer specialty physical therapy services unique to homebound clients, including manual and aquatic therapy, and treatment techniques influenced by Pilates and Yoga
Traditionally, home health physical therapy has consisted of very basic treatments- ambulation, strength training, range of motion. Since our staff has experience working in different and unusual settings (outpatient practices, hospitals, theaters, etc.), we are able to bring these treatments to the home setting. We combine treatment techniques that have strong, sound, documented evidence, with techniques found to be successful from our practice and experience. Home Health Boutique is 100% committed to reviewing and implementing new research on innovative techniques that will benefit our clients.
Provides reputable referrals for medical and caregiver needs
Having a presence in Broward County for over 20 years, the staff of Home Health Boutique is able to make referrals to clients and family for medical professionals that have integrity, and practice at high professional standards. Some of the referrals we make include: primary care physicians, specialists, podiatrists, medical supply, and caregivers. It is important for our clients to continue with wellness programs when our treatment has concluded. As such, we are able to provide references to outpatient practices, gyms, and personal trainers.
Affiliates with exceptional Medicare-Certified Home Health Agencies
As an independent home health practice, Home Health Boutique selects Medicare-Certified Home Health Agencies that provide exceptional care, and complement our services. This collaboration allows for all of our clients’ needs to be met. As an example, in addition to physical therapy, a client may require nursing to dress a wound or monitor blood sugar, a caregiver to assist with bathing, and a social worker to assist with community resource planning. Home Health Boutique ensures that quality care is provided by working with the Home Health Agency of our choice to coordinate these additional healthcare services.
